Manchester United Football Club have always been known for producing and developing homegrown talent, with Jose Mourinho intent on keeping up that tradition. One of our academy products in the current squad is Jesse Lingard, and today, he has put pen to paper on a new deal.
The club themselves have confirmed it this afternoon, with the 24-year-old securing himself a contract with the club he has supported since he was a boy until 2021 with the option for a further year.
As you’d imagine, for someone who has been at the club since he was seven-years-old, he obviously looks delighted as you can see from the photo below.

I’m absolutely buzzing as a Red Devil. Jesse Lingard gets a lot of unnecessary stick at times, which I just don’t understand. This is a lad who has scored three goals at Wembley during his last three appearances at the national stadium; all of which helped the club win one FA Cup, one EFL Cup and a Community Shield title as well.
Not only that, though, his overall game really causes our opponents problems, mostly due to his pace and really intelligent runs. On top of that, he’s always good for a world-class goal completely out of nowhere.
