PICTURE: Luke Shaw follows United players on Twitter

The transfer speculation surrounding Manchester United rumbles on, and one rumour that just won’t go away is the Luke Shaw saga. Manchester United placed a £27million bid for him on the last day of the season, and since then the media are split as to whether he’ll sign for United.

Jamie Jackson from the Guardian reckons the deal has hit a snag despite United still being heavy favourites, whereas Mark Ogden has recently suggested that its a case of when rather than if. SkyBet have suspended the betting on Shaw making the move to United, but Chelsea are still available at evens.

Today Luke Shaw has followed both Phil Jones and Wayne Rooney on Twitter, both of whom he has obviously been training with recently whilst on England duty. He has also followed Rio Ferdinand, who left Manchester United this summer after his contract expired.

Luke Shaw has often been at the heart of Twitter, after favouriting a United fans’ tweet on a couple of occasions. One about United’s potential transfers, and the other one suggesting that a move to United could be on the cards.

The above examples make me think theres something in this, but my head says that he’s just harmlessly following his English compatriots.
