Manchester United went to the top of the table for the first time in two years yesterday, after a 3-0 win at home to a woeful Sunderland side. Louis van Gaal is still without Luke Shaw, so the gaffer switched Matteo Darmian over to the left-hand side.
The Italian did well, but he isn’t a patch on Luke Shaw’s talents over on the left flank, and he will be missed dearly for the majority of this season.
The 20-year old has been keeping us up to date regarding his injury, and he posted a picture of himself on Facebook on crutches, letting us know how his break is doing.
He said that it feels good to be able to put some pressure on his foot again, but he admits he’s got a long road ahead of him. Hopefully he stays focused and gets himself back as soon as possible.
