Picture: Man United defender shows off gruesome leg injury following Valencia game

Manchester United lost their final Champions League group game away at Valencia last night, as Jose Mourinho’s men head into a key game against Liverpool in horrendous form.

At the moment, injuries galore are decimating the squad, and it looks as though that list could have just grown.

During the first half, Antonio Valencia went sliding in on Valencia defender, Toni Lato, who would then spend the next few minutes rolling around on the floor in agony.

However, it looks as though Valencia also hurt himself in the same collision, as he took to social media after the game to show off a gruesome injury of his own.

There is talk suggesting that as many as nine players could miss the game with injury, and Valencia’s name wasn’t on that list…

It looks more of a deep cut rather than a muscular problem, so that’s good news. However, it depends how deep the cut is, because Valencia won’t want to re-open that wound as it’d probably mean more time on the sidelines.

Hopefully, Valencia can get himself fighting fit to take on the old enemy this Sunday, because we could certainly use his energy, passion, desire and drive.
