Manchester United Football Club have a whole host of quality on their books, but perhaps their best strength in depth is the goalkeeper position.
I think it’s widely recognised that David de Gea is the best in the business. Sergio Romero is a pretty decent back-up, too.
In terms of youngsters, there’s also Joel Pereira who’s improving week-in-week-out, as is Sam Johnstone.
The main topic of discussion today, though, is Dean Henderson. The Englishman has signed a new Red Devils contract, keeping him at the club until at least 2020.

It wasn’t too long ago when it looked like Henderson would be leaving the club, with Arsenal the favourites to swoop in and sign him. To hear that United have managed to persuade him to stick around for another few years is superb news.
Henderson spent last season on loan with Shrewsbury Town, and he was absolutely magnificent for the League One club. Now, he’s back at Old Trafford with a point to prove. Sure, it’s going to be tough, but I hope he gets his chance on the pre-season tour of America. He’ll get to spend some real time working under Jose Mourinho, giving the manager a real opportunity to see his qualities.
