Manchester United are one of the biggest sports teams in the world, and with that, comes a whole host of stars from all over the world playing for them.
One of the Red Devils’ recent acquisitions, Nemanja Matic, has started the season brilliantly. The former Chelsea star has established himself as an integral starter in Jose Mourinho’s plans, and he’s not only performing well for his club, but on the international stage, he’s shining too…
During the most recent round of World Cup qualifiers, Matic helped his Serbia side secure their place in Russia 2018, and shortly after full-time, a picture of him emerged online that appeared to show him in floods of tears.

I love to see just how much it means to the Serb to achieve a place in the biggest tournament in football. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and being one of the 32 teams heading to Russia next year is a real honour.
Serbia topped their group, finishing above both the Republic of Ireland and Wales – losing just one game in the process. With Matic at the base of any midfield, the team he plays for will always have a chance; that’s just how good of a defensive midfielder he is.
