Manchester United Football Club returned to winning ways this weekend, with an excellent performance at home to Fulham.
From first minute right through till last, Jose Mourinho’s men were the dominant team, blitzing The Cottagers 4-1. It was just refreshing to watch a Red Devils team remain on the front-foot, while looking potent in the final third, but also remaining tight at the back (for the most part anyway).
Today, Garth Crooks released his BBC Team of the Week, and this time around it included three reds; all of whom deserved to be involved within the XI.
Check out the full Team of the Week below:
Good teams are built from the back. First up, we have the experienced Ashley Young. He got us on the right foot with a sublime goal early on and defensively, he was solid.
Then you have man-of-the-moment Diogo Dalot. He had a mightily impressive outing, but what really stood out was his insane crossing ability. Time-after-time he worked inch-perfect ball into the danger zone and on another day he could have had a hatful of assists.
Finally, Marcus Rashford was included. The young forward picked up two assists before scoring one himself with an unbelievable strike from outside the area. When this lad is confident and feeling good, he’s borderline unstoppable, and it’s brilliant to see him getting the recognition for his exploits.
