Picture: Man United’s third summer signing Lee Grant in Red Devils colours for first time

Manchester United Football Club have confirmed their third summer signing, with goalkeeper Lee Grant joining on a two-year deal.

The 35-year-old shot-stopper has left Stoke City following their relegation, and he must be in absolute dreamland after securing a move to Old Trafford.

With David de Gea and Sergio Romero ahead of him in the pecking order, Grant has a tough task on his hands to win that starting job, but his experience in and around the dressing room will be absolutely vital.

As you can see from the picture that United posted on their official Twitter page, he looks thrilled at the move, and I bet he simply can’t wait to get started.

This move is not only a good deal for extra depth in a key position, it also will allow the likes of Joel Pereira to head out on loan and get that vital first-team experience.

Hopefully, Grant can get himself adjusted over the next couple of weeks, and he’ll be ready to jet off to the United States with his new teammates to take part in our pre-season tour.
