PICTURE: Man Utd & Man City combined XI – 6 Reds included

The intensity of the Manchester derby is up there with the fiercest fixtures in world football, and it’ll be no different come Sunday. Ahead of the game, the Daily Mail have made this combined Manchester XI, including six reds and five blues.

David de Gea obviously gets the nod in goal, with the full-backs being the Manchester City pair of Pablo Zabaleta and Gael Clichy. There could be an argument made for Daley Blind’s inclusion in the side based on recent performances.

The two centre-backs are Vincent Kompany and Chris Smalling, but personally I’d swap Smalling for Marcos Rojo.

The midfield duo of Ander Herrera and Michael Carrick is somewhat of a rare sight, judging by United’s midfield performances in recent years. I’d probably have Yaya Toure in there though.

The clever Spaniards David Silva and Juan Mata both get included ahead of the likes of Angel di Maria and Samir Nasri, and the strike partnership is probably the easiest part to choose – Sergio Aguero and Wayne Rooney.
