PICTURE: Man Utd star midfielder back in training after injury

Manchester United visit the dreaded annual visit to the Britannia Stadium to take on Stoke City on New Years Day, and although it is always a tough, physical battle, the lads always seems to come away with a decent result. Louis van Gaal will be hoping that is the case once again on Thursday.

Ahead of the game, Ander Herrera has given United a boost by returning to first-team training. That means he’ll get at least a couple more training sessions in before the clash, and he’ll almost certainly feature in the match day squad – making the bench at the very minimum.

The midfield is looking thin at the moment, with injuries to Daley Blind and Angel di Maria, whereas Darren Fletcher is struggling for any kind of form whatsoever.
