Manchester United Football Club enjoyed a brilliant month of September, with Jose Mourinho’s men continuing their unbeaten start to the season.
The Red Devils are currently sitting joint-top of the tree, alongside fierce rivals Manchester City.
A couple of key squad players have certainly been unsung heroes over the last few weeks, and for their performances, they’ve been included in WhoScored’s Premier League Team of the Month – and they more than deserve all the plaudits that are coming their way.

As you can see, Ashley Young is included in the team at the left-back position. The Englishman, now 32, has always been a useful squad player to have. He’s proven that recently.
Young’s versatility has always been his biggest selling point, and the fact that he can play in multiple positions is a real asset to Jose Mourinho. Not only has he been solid defensively, but he’s also picked up a couple of assists (one in the league, one in Europe).
Onto Marouane Fellaini, then. Who’d have thought he’d step up so wonderfully in Paul Pogba’s absence? The big Belgian has been brilliant on both sides of the ball and he’s been a joy to watch.
The 29-year-old has won plenty of tackles, been physically dominant and posed a real threat in the air on both sides of the ball. Long may it continue, because who knows how long Pogba will be out for?
