Manchester United Football Club take on Manchester City for the first time of the season this coming Saturday, as Jose Mourinho and Josep Guardiola renew a fierce rivalry. The red half of Manchester have had a few injury concerns ahead of the game, but it looks as though one man will be fit to play.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan was a doubt after picking up an injury whilst playing for his native Armenia during the international break, but yesterday, a pictured of the 27-year-old emerged of him arriving at training.
The attacking midfielder has found his chances limited at the start of this season, purely due to the fact that Mourinho had found a winning team whilst he was on the bench.
However, Mkhitaryan came on as a second-half substitute in the game against Hull City, and he single-handedly changed proceedings with his excellent passing and pure directness – eventually, we got the goal through Marcus Rashford, but Mkhitaryan played a huge part.
If he is close to 100% fitness, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mkhitaryan start this weekend, and it’ll be a real opportunity to make that right-wing spot his own.
