Picture: Manchester United quartet named in WhoScored’s Team of the Week

Manchester United’s preparations for their third Premier League game of the season will be well underway, with Jose Mourinho’s side a perfect two from two thus far. The performance against Swansea City was particularly pleasing late on, with a real clinical edge being shown.

For their stellar performances in the aforementioned victory, WhoScored have named four Manchester United players in their Premier League Team of the Week,.

Let’s start with the surprise inclusion of Daley Blind. The Dutchman was deployed as our left-back, and although he was solid defensively, he just doesn’t offer anything going forward. To his credit, though, he’s in amongst the team with a 7.9 rating.

Next to him, we have Eric Bailly. The Ivorian was always going to be included due to the fact that he kept a clean sheet and he got himself a goal as well. He was brilliant throughout, and he’s really emerging as our first-choice centre-half.

Now onto the midfield. Paul Pogba earned an 8.5 rating thanks to scoring an excellent team goal and also collecting an assist. He had a quiet first 45 minutes on the day, but he just blew Swansea away in the second half.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan rounds off the United players in the team. He picked up another two assists, taking his tally to the season up to four already. He scored an excellent 8.8 via WhoScored’s ranking system.
