Manchester United have confirmed that Paul Pogba has rejoined the club on a five-year deal, with the option for a sixth season if all goes accordingly. The transfer saga of the summer is now over, and Jose Mourinho can begin working with his new players to prepare for the Premier League campaign.
Pogba has come back to the club that gave him his professional debut back in 2012, for a world record fee somewhere around the £90million mark. It was an eagerly anticipated deal for the club, and shortly after the move was announced, fans were asking what number shirt he’d be given.
The Old Trafford faithful didn’t have to wait long, though, with Manchester United taking to Twitter early on Tuesday morning to confirm the obvious; He’d be our new number six.
It may seem like a steep transfer fee for a man who doesn’t guarantee you goals galore, but he’s a player we’ve been crying out for, and we finally have our man.
