Earlier today, England’s U20 side won the World Cup. It’s the first time in fifty-plus years that a Three Lions side have lifted the great trophy at any level, and huge credit has to go to every single one of those guys who played their part throughout the tournament itself and qualifying.
Manchester United had one young Lion in the squad, Dean Henderson. The goalkeeper has been on the Red Devils’ books for quite some time now and he’s obviously an immensely talented individual.
Henderson took to Twitter shortly after the brilliant 1-0 win over Venezuela with a huge smile on his face as he held the trophy aloft.
Unbelievable feeling World Cup winner!! This squad is special🦁🦁🦁 pic.twitter.com/W1iOX4SKJ5

What a wonderful feeling it must be to win a major piece of silverware for your country. Achieving this feat deserves an insane amount of credit, and it’s always nicer when a United player gets in on the act.
Henderson is 20 now, and he’ll come back to the Theatre of Dreams brimming with confidence. The Englishman now has the task of trying to force his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans someway or somehow, but that will not be easy given the calibre of players ahead of him.
For right now, I’d imagine that a loan move is probably in his best interests because he simply needs to be playing regular football.
