Manchester United Football Club made it back-to-back wins in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, when Jose Mourinho’s men put Watford to the sword by a 2-0 scoreline. The performance as a whole must’ve been an extremely pleasing one and it certainly bodes well moving forward.
A trio of reds have been rewarded for their displays against The Hornets, and they’ve been named in WhoScored’s Team of the Week. Rightly so too, after some brilliant displays.
First up we have the most expensive player in the world in the form of Paul Pogba. The Frenchman went about his job efficiently and effectively, as he controlled the game from a much deeper role. He scored an 8.42.
Next to him is his midfield partner Ander Herrera, who’s defensive duties are really shining through of late. The Spaniard’s willingness to run for ninety minutes was a great beneficiary for his teammates, allowing the more creative players to go to work.
Finally, we have Anthony Martial. The attacker was brought back into the team after a couple of weeks on the bench, and my did he take his chance. The 21-year-old finished the match with an impressive 8.43 rating, and scored one goal as well as laying on an assist for his teammate Juan Mata.
The three Reds are joined in the team by Sadio Mane who scored 8.50, Alexis Sanchez, who finished with a 9.20 rating and Ryan Bertrand who scored a respectable 8.56 out of 10.
