Picture: Manchester United’s unsung hero named in WhoScored’s Team of the Week

Manchester United had an excellent weekend, thanks to the 4-1 demolition job of champions Leicester City at Old Trafford. Jose Mourinho’s men were back to their brilliant best, as they got back on the right track towards the Premier League crown.

The drubbing meant that several United players were in contention to make it into WhoScored’s Team of the Week, and many thought Paul Pogba would likely be the man to get the nod.

However, the 23-year-old Frenchman missed out, but Daley Blind squirmed his way into the team thanks to an excellent 8.47 rating. The versatile Dutchman was great at left-back, and also helped himself to a couple of assists thanks to excellent set piece taking. This alone is worth his place in the starting line-up, as his delivery is nothing short of exceptional.

Daley Blind was joined in the team by the likes of Sergio Aguero, Alexis Sanchez and even former Manchester United player, Michael Keane.
