That boy Marcus Rashford is at it again. The Manchester United striker hasn’t featured much at the start of this campaign, so that meant he had to drop down to England’s U21s rather than the full side. As you’d imagine, the forward took it all in his stride once again.
The 18-year-old led the line brilliantly for the young lions, as they demolished Norway 6-1 at home – three of the goals came from the sweet right-foot of Marcus Rashford himself.
In the first half he found himself in space out on the left-hand side and used his pace to get away from his marker, in typical Rashford fashion, he coolly finished to make it 1-0.
Midway through the second 45 Marcus Rashford found the back of the net again after another bit of individual brilliance. His finish was even better this time as he looped the ball over the keeper.
As the game was winding down, England won a penalty and up stepped Rashford to complete his hat-trick and secure all three points for England’s U21s. His emphatic penalty summed up his brilliant performance.
Afterwards, the young man was named Man of the Match, and given a bottle of bubbly for his efforts. Hopefully he won’t be drinking that before the weekend however, as the first derby of the season looms.
