Marouane Fellaini has been a completely different player this season, with his confidence seemingly growing week-in week-out under Louis van Gaal. The big Belgian is now an integral part of the United team, and he has a pivotal role in the upcoming derby.
He’ll face off against one of the worlds best in Yaya Toure, as the two powerhouses will go head-to-head on the middle of the Old Trafford turf.
Looking at the stats, Yaya is obviously much better than his opposition in terms of passing, as the Ivorian completes more than double the amount of passes, chances created and key passes per game.
Fellaini is more physical than Toure though, winning a much higher percentage of tackles and slightly more aerial duels.
Yaya Toure has double the amount of goals, and one assist to Fellaini’s zero, but looking at performances since the turn of the year, our afro man has been much more crucial to our side than Yaya has for City.
