For Manchester United, derby day was one to forget this time around. The Reds just didn’t play anywhere close to their capabilities, resulting in a heartbreaking loss to our fierce rivals.
However, following the game, an incident took place in the tunnel. Apparently, Jose Mourinho had milk thrown on him by one of City’s players, whereas Mikel Arteta somehow ended up with a cut head.
On his way into training today, the former Arsenal star wasn’t giving anything away, as he covered up the wound, per the BBC.

At the end of the day, it was an incident that just didn’t need to take place. Both clubs have shown some poor form here, and a failure to control their players is just unacceptable. I doubt we’ll ever find out what actually happened because both clubs will likely want to remain tight-lipped, but it would be interesting to see who the instigators were.
Now for United, it’s a case of moving on and putting the poor derby day showing behind us. We’ll have to bounce back against AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday night, in a game that’ll be a tricky one. Hopefully, the lads can put in a better performance.
