Picture: Paul Pogba re-united with former teammate Ravel Morrison

For Manchester United, Ravel Morrison will always be the one that got away. The academy graduate was part of that famous 2011 FA Youth Cup-winning side – while a certain Harry Maguire was playing for the opponents that day, Sheffield United.

It’s somewhat ironic that Morrison is now playing for The Blades, as he looks to kick-start his career in England. Another member of that mightily talented 2011 Youth Cup side was Paul Pogba. It’s fair to say that he and Morrison have gone on to have very different careers so far…

Well, it’s excellent to see that they’re still close, with the now 26-year-old taking to Instagram stories to upload a snap of himself and Pogba hanging out – presumably at a behind-closed-doors friendly between the Reds and Sheffield.

After failing at United, Morrison has gone on to play for nine other clubs which tells you everything you need to know about his consistency.

The mad thing is that the talent is still there. Morrison still has huge potential and if he can get it right mentally, the attacking midfielder could yet have a hugely successful career.

This is his final chance, though. Not many more clubs will continue to take a punt on the troubled young man, but credit to Sheffield United and Chris Wilder. Hopefully, Morrison can repay that faith.
