PICTURE: Potential Man Utd 4-4-2 vs Burnley – Rooney as striker

Manchester United simply have to get back to winning ways on Wednesday, as the struggling Burnley FC visit Old Trafford. In their last meeting, Burnley held United to a 0-0 draw as Angel di Maria made his debut for the club – Louis van Gaal will be looking to right a few wrongs here.

United could welcome Ashley Young back at the left-back spot after a prolonged spell on the sidelines due to a hamstring problem. He’ll be next to Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling at centre-back, with Antonio Valencia the other wing-back.

Daley Blind will continue at defensive midfielder, with Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini playing as central midfielders – Angel di Maria should be dropped due to poor performances.

Adnan Januzaj starts in the #10 slot, with Wayne Rooney returning to a more familiar striker role alongside Radamel Falcao.
