Manchester United confirmed the appointment of Louis van Gaal yesterday afternoon, and as you’d expect, there has been a media frenzy regarding potential transfers at Old Trafford. Dutch media outlet, Arno Vermeulen has suggested this potential starting XI.
As you can see from the picture below, its a very impressive line-up with just six current Manchester United players named. Amongst the reported incomings is Mats Hummels, Kevin Strootman and Thomas Muller.
This is a line-up I’d be more than happy with, but if we’re being picky I would like to see another central midfielder coming in alongside Kevin Strootman.

I think our problems lie in the central midfield (kroos/strootman/Vidal) and defence (Luke shaw/mats hummels/benatia)… Those would be good replacements
Sorry, but neither Müller nor Hummels Will come. And I would be surprised if Shaw moved to United.
