Picture: Rashford all-smiles after winning PFA Fans POTM for December

Manchester United are having a topsy-turvy season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Though one player who is thriving under the Baby Faced Assassin is Marcus Rashford.

The superstar Englishman has already struck his best-ever goals tally this term, though it’s a campaign that’ll cruelly be cut short due to a back problem that he picked up against Wolverhampton Wanderers ten days ago.

That doesn’t change the fact that Rashford is this club’s future, heck, it can be argued he’s also our present. The 22-year-old from Wythenshawe enjoyed a stellar December, during which he scored in virtually every game for the Old Trafford club.

In doing so, Rashford was voted the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award – and rightly so.

Anyway today, the Englishman finally got his hands on the trophy and as you can see below, Rashford was all-smiles as he took to Twitter to send a message to the fans who voted for him.

I’m just thrilled that Rashford is now getting the recognition and praise that he deserves. Us Reds fans have seen him develop and grow as a player year-on-year and this season he’s finally added the goals to his game.

It’s just a shame that we’ll seldom see him for the campaign’s remainder. I hope he can get himself back fit, possibly play in the European Championships next summer and come back even stronger next term.

Congratulations, Marcus!
