Manchester United are through into the FA Cup quarter-final, beating Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to earn their place in the last eight.
The game itself was one in which United were on top in. Paul Pogba bossed it, while Ander Herrera was his usual, busy, energetic self. Credit has to go to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who got his tactics absolutely spot on.
Perhaps he’s learning from the best to ever do it. Heck, having Sir Alex Ferguson whispering in your ear can never be a bad thing!
Anyway, at full-time, the cameras panned to a Fergie who was smiling ear-to-ear as his former employers earned their way past another Premier League giant.
Putting football to one side, it was just wonderful seeing Ferguson looking so healthy and well after his health scare not too long ago.
He truly is a father of this club and United wouldn’t be the global brand that it is today without the best manager the British Isles have ever played host to.
It’s great to see that he’s still so interested in watching the Red Devils whenever he can, and to have him in and around the club can only be a positive thing.
