Sir Alex Ferguson will always be the best to ever do it. We were incredibly lucky to call him ours for the best part of three decades.
It’s always nice to see ‘The Boss’ at Old Trafford on any given match-day, perhaps even moreso after his health scare last year. Well, the great Scot was at the Theatre of Dreams yesterday – and he was certainly enjoying it as Manchester United thumped Chelsea 4-0.
As the Tweet says, there’s just nothing better than seeing Fergie looking in excellent health, with a smile on his face, watching one of his former players in the Red Devils dugout. What a moment. What a picture.
The look of sheer pride and joy from Fergie just shows what this club means to him. After all, he’s a fan just like you and me and that’s sometimes pretty easy to forget.
Ferguson was the father of this team for a large part of my life and it was a real coming back down to earth when he decided to retire. The six years since haven’t exactly gone according to plan, but who knows, with Ole at the wheel, it certainly looks like we’re heading in the right direction.
It’s great to see you looking so well, boss!
