Manchester United have tied Angel Gomes down to a new contract, with the insanely talented attacking midfielder putting pen to paper on his first professional deal as a footballer.
The club announced the news via social media yesterday, along with a photo of Gomes, all-smiles alongside his boss Nicky Butt.
Christmas is always a good time for Angels… 😇

In the final game during 2016/17, it felt like a changing of the guard when Gomes came on as a second-half substitute, replacing a certain Wayne Rooney.
It was a real show of faith by Mourinho in the teenager, and now that he’s signed a deal at the Theatre of Dreams, we’ll hopefully see plenty more from him in the years to come.
United have always had a way when it comes to nurturing young talent and turning them into world-beaters. In my opinion, Gomes has the potential to go all the way to the top in this game, and the fact that he’s been at the club since he was just six years old makes it all the sweeter.
Now, it’s down to Gomes to keep working hard on the training field and force his way into the first-team squad. He should definitely take inspiration from Marcus Rashford and more recently, Scott McTominay.
