Manchester United got back to winning ways in the Premier League last weekend, as Leicester City were put to the sword in a comfortable 3-0 victory. Next up, Watford are visiting Old Trafford, and another victory here is an absolute must as we look to keep the pressure on our rivals.
The lads were being put through their paces on Wednesday afternoon, and there was somewhat of a surprise inclusion, with Axel Tuanzebe involved with the first-team squad; just a couple of weeks after his debut against Wigan Athletic.
Now 20, the centre-back will be hoping for his big chance in the Premier League, and being involved in training is the first step towards that. When you couple that with the news that both Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo are doubts, this is probably the closest Tuanzebe has come to playing in the biggest league in world football.
During that aforementioned debut he made against Wigan, the young man acquitted himself very well – albeit against a poor side. However, everyone has to start somewhere, and I get the feeling that Jose Mourinho certainly trusts him. I’d personally love to see him named on the bench in a couple of days, as that’ll only further boost his confidence.
