Manchester United waved a fitting goodbye to Michael Carrick at Old Trafford this Sunday, with the veteran midfielder calling time on a glittering career.
At 35, the Englishman obviously felt the time was right to call it a day. Although he’ll be joining Jose Mourinho’s coaching staff next season, Carrick had some time for a spot of golf in the beautiful England sunshine.
The official club Twitter account wasted no time in posting a photo of Carrick enjoying a round, alongside none other than Nemanja Vidic! It’s always nice to see two club legends meet up again following their careers taking different paths

Carrick has been an absolutely immense servant for this football club, winning every trophy available to him at least once. The midfield maestro will be sorely missed on the football field, as nobody can read the game anywhere near as well as he can.
Then you have Vidic. His time at Old Trafford got off to a slow start, but over time, the Serbian Warrior became one half of arguably the best centre-back pairing in the history of United. Alongside Rio Ferdinand, it was a back two that was borderline unbeatable when both players were completely dialed in.
