Manchester United Football Club’s interest in Ivan Perisic is well documented, with Sky Sports News suggesting that a deal is nearing. The 28-year-old currently plies his trade for Inter Milan in the Serie A, and he’s been a pretty solid player for them over the last few years.
The aforementioned report claims that the winger from Croatia wants to move to the Theatre of Dreams, and today, a squad photo appeared on the internet (via The Metro) – and it’s fair to say that Perisic looks miserable.
It’s not that difficult to work out which one he is, but for those who have dodgy eyesight, he’s on the far right leaning against a wall. The rest of the team are all smiles, whereas he just looks depressed.

Now, this could purely be an ill-timed click of a camera, but honestly, to me, it looks more significant than that. Perisic looks like he’d rather be anywhere else at that point in time and I cannot help but feel it’s intentional.
In terms of what he’d bring to Manchester United, I’d be delighted if we signed him. He’s a proper out and out winger who hugs the touchline and whips ferocious crosses into the box, and that’s something we lacked badly in last season.
