Picture: ‘We Want Utd back’ banner spotted in away end against Tranmere

Manchester United Football Club made light work of Tranmere Rovers in the FA Cup fourth round today, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer naming a strong starting line-up for the clash.

The game itself was a one-sided affair, though off the field, Red Devils supporters were making their feelings known. The Glazers have been a topic of discussion, which is to be expected given the on-field struggles recently…

Anyway, during the game, the guys over at @UtdReport spotted a ‘We want Utd back’ banner in the away end, with a red flare to boot…

The fans are getting frustrated again, which has only been heightened by a lack of spending in the January transfer window (thus far). The noises are getting louder, with several anti-Glazer chants doing the rounds both home and away over the last couple of weeks.

How far will it go this time? Who knows. Apparently, there’s talk of a mass walk-out for United’s next home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Whether that happens, remains to be seen.

Right now, it’s nowhere near as bad as it got in the mid-2000s when The Glazers initially took charge. In truth, I hope it never gets that bad again but it is going to be intriguing to see how this one plays out. After all, these fans adore their club and they’ll do anything to get it back.
