Manchester United managed to go through the whole month of December without suffering a loss, as Jose Mourinho’s tactics and style of management seem to be rubbing off on the squad. It has been a great few weeks for all of the club – with one man at the forefront of everything good about the side.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been simply outstanding recently, and that led to the influential Swede winning the official Manchester United Player of the Month award for December.
During the month, Ibra netted seven goals in six games, as well as tacking on three assists for his teammates. He earned himself 38 percent of the fan vote, just edging out Henrikh Mkhitaryan who finished with 36 percent.

As Manchester United’s official Twitter account say, Ibrahimovic has been unstoppable at times this month, and long may it continue. Not only has he been a massive goal threat, he’s also contributed a few important assists over the last few weeks.
It certainly bodes well going forward, too. Personally, when I heard the news that he was coming in I didn’t expect him to get into double figures in terms of goals. The fact that he already has seventeen across all competitions is absolutely remarkable.
