Manchester United Football Club gave a new contract to Zlatan Ibrahimovic just last week, with the 35-year-old putting pen to paper on a deal that’ll see him remain a Red Devil until the end of the current season.

As we all know, his first year at Old Trafford ended far too prematurely, with the brilliant forward picking up a season-ending knee injury which he is still currently recovering from.

Transfer deadline day was a pretty quiet one for Jose Mourinho and the rest of his backroom team, but it wasn’t a dull one for Ibrahimovic, who is continuing his recovery process in the hopes of making a United return sooner rather than later.

Zlatan, 35, signed a new United contract last week.

I’m absolutely amazed that the Swede is already training in the gym just four months on from suffering such a devastating injury. It tells you everything you need to know about the calibre of the man, and all credit to him for signing a new deal with one of the biggest clubs in the world.

It would have been so easy for him to hang up his boots for good or take the ease way out and move to the MLS.
