Manchester United finally overcame a resilient Cambridge United side a couple of nights ago, after the League Two team forced an unlikely replay in the first game a fortnight ago. United certainly righted a few wrongs at Old Trafford, but Louis van Gaal will be looking for more improvement.
One of the stars of the show from a United standpoint was Angel di Maria, as the Argentinian returned to a more familiar central role and controlled the game pretty much from the off.
His directness, pace and pinpoint crosses were troubling a Cambridge side who were always in decline after missing a glorious chance to take an unlikely lead in the first minute.
Yesterday, Di Maria was spotted close to the Lowry Hotel, as he recovers from a gruelling hour of football from the game.
