Manchester United sadly won’t take to the field for quite a number of weeks now, as we enter the off-season, allowing our talented bunch of players the time to recharge the batteries and get prepared for a second season under the guidance of Jose Mourinho.

Although the players are on their holidays right now, that didn’t stop both Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard paying a visit to some very brave children who were involved in the Manchester attacks two weeks ago.

The lads took to Twitter to upload a few photos of themselves posing with these brave individuals, whilst handing them signed shirts, and just generally cheering them up.

Have a look at the photos here:

I have huge respect and admiration for these children who refuse to be beaten, and my thoughts and prayers are with their families at this difficult time.

Massive credit deserves to be thrown in the direction of these two United stars, too. For them to take time off to go and pay a visit to the hospital takes a lot of guts, and it genuinely would have brightened up people’s days.

This is why I love football. It brings communities together in times of need and these boys deserve plenty of recognition for what they have done today. It shows that our heroes are just humans like everyone else, so fair play.
