Earlier today, Manchester United Football Club confirmed that Cameron Borthwick-Jackson was making the move to Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal. The 19-year-old accepted the deal in order to acquire more first-team football.
Born in Manchester, Cameron has been at the club since he was six years of age, and last season he made his big breakthrough into the first-team fold under Louis van Gaal.
We saw some of the real qualities that he possesses as a full-back, and he really has something to offer this club on both sides of the ball. He is a stern defender, and his ability to place a cross in the inch-perfect spot was on display on plenty of occasions last season.
However, we all know that Jose Mourinho will always go for the tried and tested instead of taking a chance with a youngster. That means chances for first-team football will be few and far between, so a move away is probably in his best interests.
