Earlier today, Manchester United Football Club confirmed that Fred has been signed from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The 25-year-old midfielder put pen to paper on a five-year deal, he’ll be linking up with his new teammates after the World Cup.
We’ve all been eagerly awaiting the first photos of our new man in United colours, and here they are, courtesy of the club’s official Twitter page:

Well, the 25-year-old certainly looks good in United Red. Now, there is no doubt that player and fans alike just cannot wait to get going. The midfielder comes in with a big reputation after three marvellous seasons in Ukraine. Now, he’s ready for the step up.
Following Michael Carrick’s retirement, the club were always going to bring in a new central player. It’s such a vital area of the football field, and if it was a battle we’d won more often in 2017/18, then just maybe, we could been celebrating a trophy or two.
Fred’s job is simple. Come in, and affect the game on both sides of the football. Although more offensive-minded, don’t be surprised to see our new man get involved in a physical battle or two; that’s an underrated part of his game.
Now, it’s just a waiting game. Hopefully, we’ll see him on pre-season tour at some point in late-July/early-August.
