Manchester United have officially confirmed their third signing of the summer. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, formally of Borussia Dortmund, is now a Red Devil. The 27-year-old will become the first Armenian to represent Manchester United Football Club.
We all knew this deal was going to happen, but it certainly took Manchester United a little while longer than anticipate to force it over the line.
However, we can all now breathe and relax. Henrikh Mkhitaryan has signed on the dotted line, and will be ready and raring to go when our season gets officially underway next month.
What an excellent piece of business this is – especially for the £26.3million transfer fee. We’re acquiring a player who scored 23 goals and added 26 assists across all competitions last term in the Bundesliga, which as we all know, is tough.
I’m genuinely excited about watching him grace the Old Trafford turf next season, and he seems equally as thrilled by the prospect too.
