Manchester United’s home and away kit have been on sale for quite some time now, while the talk went relatively quiet on a proposed third strip.
Well today, Adidas has unveiled the Red Devils’ third kit for the 2019/20 campaign and as you can see below it’s absolutely gorgeous.
The black and solar red combination is something that United wore as their away strip in 2015/16 and I’m delighted to say that this one looks rather similar – though complete with the Kohler sponsor on the left arm.
Donned by both the Men’s and Women’s team, the Lancashire Rose trend continues as it does on the home and away jersey – marking United’s 1-0 FA Cup final victory over Bristol City in 1909.
For me, less often means more and I love the simplicity of this latest kit. I’m not a fan of the away ‘snakeskin’ design this year but I really do like this third strip.
With Wolverhampton Wanderers playing in their famous orange colours, perhaps we’ll see this one in use during the game on Monday night due to the potential kit clash with the snakeskin away jersey.
Credit to Adidas here though, this is a beauty and for me, it’s the best strip we’ve had in a while.
