Manchester United take on Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup in Skopje, Macedonia on Tuesday evening. The game against the Champions League winners is the perfect way to kick off the new season, as the Red Devils are presented with an opportunity to pit their wits against the very best.
Ahead of the match, Jose Mourinho has been putting his players through their paces in the Philip II Arena, as you can see from the photos below.

The fixture presents us with our first real opportunity to get a look at what starting XI Mourinho is going to go with in a high-pressure match, and we should get some pointers as to how we’ll line up in the first game of the Premier League season against West Ham United.
Before that though, the chance to win a major piece of silverware has presented itself. Make no mistake, this is a game that the Manchester United players and coaching staff will want to win, as it’d be the perfect way to start off a new campaign.
Judging by the photos above, the squad seems to be in a relaxed mood, despite the fact that we’re without five first-team regulars through suspension and injury. We still should have enough firepower to challenge Madrid, though.
