Pictures: Manchester United fans display Louis van Gaal out banners during Bournemouth win

Manchester United’s Premier League campaign is over, with Louis van Gaal’s side securing one final win. The Red Devils finished in fifth place in the end, meaning the club won’t have to play any Europa League qualifiers at the start of next season, and they’ll go straight in at the group stage.

The fans have every right to be unhappy with the manager after some of the performances we’ve had to watch at times this season, and their unhappiness with the manager was on display at Old Trafford during the Bournemouth game this evening.

A couple of banners were somehow smuggled into the Theatre of Dreams, and were held up by fans in a half-empty stadium. One read ‘hopefully bye bye Van Gaal’ whereas the other said ‘time to go Louis! Not good enough’.

These were rapidly taken away from the fans by the Manchester United stewards though, which is a bit disappointing but understandable.
