Pictures: Manchester United’s stars working hard in training ahead of Reading FA Cup clash

We’re into the new year now, and Jose Mourinho’s men did manage to start 2017 with a win, thanks to a 2-0 victory away at West Ham United. Next up is Reading FC in the FA Cup, as Manchester United will try to defend the crown that they won in dramatic fashion way back in May of last year.

Former Red Jaap Stam is at the helm of the Championship side based just outside of London, and by and large they have been doing pretty well under his guidance, so this game will by no means be easy.

Ahead of the match, the players have been put through their paces by manager Jose Mourinho, as you can see from the pictures below.

Check out the players’ tweets about Manchester United training with pictures here:

Judging from the photos, it looks as though we’ve got near enough a full complement of players for this one which is great. Although, Eric Bailly is obviously missing due to his participation with the Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations.

Obviously we’re expected to win this fixture rather comfortably, but I wouldn’t be wholly against Jose Mourinho making a few changes and giving a few youngsters some playing time – perhaps Tim Fosu-Mensah and Joe Riley deserve some minutes?
