Manchester United take on Astana at Old Trafford this Thursday, with the Red Devils set to kick-off their Europa League campaign.
Actually, the last time they were in this tournament, the Reds went all the way and lifted the trophy. A repeat of that feat would guarantee Champions League football upon Salford Quays next season…
Anyway, before the game, United are dealing with a major injury crisis. Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial, Luke Shaw, Jesse Lingard and others all missing the Leicester City game.
It does however, seem as though Pogba could be fit for the Europa League game, with the Frenchman taking to Instagram, strongly hinting at a return to training with a couple of photos on his Stories.
The first, a picture of his training boots with the words ‘loading’ while the second saw Pogba donning United wearing training gear alongside Juan Mata.
Whether or not he will play against Astana is another matter. United have some extremely tricky Premier League games just on the horizon – starting with a visit to West Ham this weekend.
Perhaps it’d be shrewd of Solskjaer to not risk him for this game against Astana, rather giving him a few more days to rest up and get fully fit. Let’s be honest, we struggle every time we play West Ham and having our creative player on the field can only help us in that regard, right?
