Manchester United Football Club take on FC Rostov tomorrow evening, as the round of sixteen in the Europa League competition gets underway. The Red Devils will certainly not have it easy, with the Russian side beating Bayern Munich in the Champions League before the turn of the year.

That certainly shows their pedigree as a team, but there is one other telling factor that’ll definitely play to their advantage; the state of the pitch.

As you can see from the photos included in Simon Peach’s tweet below, it looks an absolute mess and an accident waiting to happen for any player who steps foot on it.

Check out the photos in Simon Peach’s tweet here:

I think it says it all that assistant manager Rui Faria posed for a photo, holding it as a joke. You can obviously understand Mourinho’s frustrations here because it really isn’t ideal.

The players who take to the field will now have to be extra careful during the match which isn’t good, and now our Portuguese boss will have a few selection dilemmas on his hands. Many thought that this would be a good game for Mkhitaryan to come back into the mix in, but after looking at the turf I highly doubt it.

I guess the most important thing is going out there and getting a result that’ll keep us in the second leg, but this fixture will be a lot tougher than we all anticipated.
