Sergio Romero – Had a quiet half really. Was a viewer just like the rest of us. 5/10

Diogo Dalot – Bombed forward pretty often. He looked a real threat. 6/10

Axel Tuanzebe – Showed good strength and looked extremely composed on the ball. It was great to see. 7/10

Phil Jones – Looked sharp. Showed some great pace to make a great recovery tackle as the first 45 drew to a close. 7/10

Ashley Young – Started out as left-back and actually played some nice passes forward. 6/10

Nemanja Matic – Looked a little slow and his passing was wayward. Couldn’t press as high as the other two midfielders. 4/10

Andreas Pereira – Worked hard on both sides of the ball. Charged into the box to give Martial some help and pressed wonderfully well. 7/10

Jesse Lingard – Showed off his excellent movement. This new high-pressing system will suit him perfectly. 6/10

Tahith Chong – Started off slowly but made a couple of excellent bursts into the box late on. Unfortunate not to have won a penalty. 6/10

Daniel James – Without doubt, the highlight of the first 45 minutes. Showed off his electric pace and stellar delivery into the box. This boy is a future star and we’re lucky to have him. 8/10

Anthony Martial – Looked lively and tried to run in behind. Grew into the half. 6/10

Joel Pereira – Again, wasn’t really tested. Came out and collected the ball well on a couple of occasions but that’s about it. 5/10

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – This lad absolutely loves a slide tackle, doesn’t he? He executed them to perfection on more than one occasion and it was great to see him in action! The Perth Glory players just couldn’t get past him 7/10

Chris Smalling – Pretty solid. Controlled the back four well. 6/10

Marcos Rojo – Looked a bit shaky in possession. Tried a shot from 40+ yards out that ended up in row Z… 4/10

Luke Shaw – Bombed up and down that left-flank but didn’t look too comfortable when subbed off with 10 minutes left. Hopefully, he’s ok. 6/10

Scott McTominay – Kept the game ticking over. Won the ball back well and wasn’t afraid to get forward. 6/10

Paul Pogba – Played a huge part in the goal with a lovely bit of skill. His passing was on point. 7/10

Juan Mata – Took the captains armband and led by example. Nice to see him get a chance through the middle. 5/10

Angel Gomes – Looked sharp but his decision-making in the final third will have to improve. 5/10

Mason Greenwood – Linked up well with AWB. Should have scored early on, but made an outstanding ghosting run in which he beat three players. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – Scored an excellent goal as he let the ball run across his body and slammed home. 7/10

James Garner – Came on for the last 10 minutes and scored an absolute rocket to put the game beyond Perth Glory! 7/10
