Player Ratings: Manchester City 2-3 Manchester United – Pogba steals the show

David de Gea – Made some superhuman saves at 3-2 to preserve Manchester United’s lead. This man is just unbelievable. 8/10

Antonio Valencia – Struggled to get into the game, particularly in the first-half. 4/10

Chris Smalling – He was woeful in the first 45, but more than made up for it with his winning goal. 6/10

Eric Bailly – You expect far more from him, his positioning was truly awful. 5/10

Ashley Young – Had a shocker and somehow got away with two pretty clear penalties. Do we care though? Not one bit. 4/10

Nemanja Matic – I feel like I’m repeating myself, but he was poor in the first-half, but bossed things in the second 45. 6/10

Ander Herrera – He brought some energy, drive and desire to the midfield. The chested pass he played into Pogba for his first was genuinely world-class. 8/10

Paul Pogba – Hopefully, his two goals against City will be the making of him. It was a truly brilliant 45 minutes from the Frenchman, and you could see what it meant to him. 9/10

Jesse Lingard – He was his usual self, making superb runs and causing City’s back line havoc. 6/10

Alexis Sanchez – His link-up play for all three goals was out of this world. What a performance from the man who turned City down. 7/10

Romelu Lukaku – A pretty quiet afternoon for the big man. 5/10

Marcus Rashford – Not enough time to mark.

Scott McTominay – Not enough time to mark.

Victor Lindelof – Not enough time to mark.
