Player Ratings: Manchester United 0-0 PSV Eindhoven

David de Gea – Wasn’t tested whatsoever by a PSV attack well controlled by the United defence. 6/10

Matteo Darmian – Nice to see him back involved. Didn’t struggle defensively, but could have offered more going forward. 5/10

Chris Smalling – As per usual he was cool, calm and collected. Superb. 6/10

Daley Blind – Played it out from the back nicely. 6/10

Marcos Rojo – Put in some lovely crosses but not enough bodies in the box to get on the end of them. 6/10

Bastian Schweinsteiger – Controlled the middle of the park. The game changed for the worse when he was subbed off. 7/10 Man of the Match.

Morgan Schneiderlin – Gave the ball away far too often. His worse game in a United shirt. 3/10

Jesse Lingard – Missed a golden opportunity. Didn’t really threaten. 4/10

Wayne Rooney – Sprayed some nice passes out wide. Could have done more however. 5/10

Memphis Depay – Tried a couple of long distance shots that didn’t go to plan. Looked like he as trying too hard. 5/10

Anthony Martial – Clearly wasn’t afraid to have a go, but didn’t really penetrate the PSV defensive line. 6/10

Subs:

Marouane Fellaini – Won plenty of headers, but didn’t really affect the game.

Ashley Young – Put in some nice crosses.

Juan Mata – Not enough time to mark.
