Player Ratings: Manchester United 2-0 Crystal Palace

David de Gea – Mostly a spectator during this one. Palace were woeful in attack. 7/10

Matteo Darmian – Brilliant defensively and offered a threat going forward. Scored a cracking goal and can claim the assist for the opener. 9/10

Chris Smalling – Dealt with Adebayor very well. Gave him nothing for ninety minutes. 7/10

Daley Blind – Once again he was so calm and composed in possession. Brilliant. 7/10

Antonio Valencia – Did well down the right but lacked that cutting edge at times. 6/10

Morgan Schneiderlin – Bossed the midfield. Hopefully it can continue. 7/10

Wayne Rooney – Played well in a deeper role, probably where his long-term future lies. 7/10

Jesse Lingard – Spurned a couple of glorious opportunities which could cost him his place in the starting line-up in the FA Cup semi. 5/10

Juan Mata – Found himself in acres of space and played some nice passes. 6/10

Anthony Martial – Fairly quiet for the most part. Forced the keeper into a couple of decent saves. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – What a player this lad will be. Ran Palace ragged until he was subbed off as a precaution. 7/10

Subs:

Memphis Depay – Tried to have a go and attack the Palace defence.

Ander Herrera – Kept things moving in the right direction.

Marouane Fellaini – Not enough time to mark.
