David de Gea – Didn’t have an awful lot to do. 6/10
Antonio Valencia – Bombed forward all afternoon. His final ball was lacking somewhat though. 5/10
Chris Smalling – Marshalled the back four well as per usual. 6/10
Daley Blind – Kept it simple and moved United in the right direction. 6/10
Ashley Young – Got plenty of crosses in but not many were meaningful. Linked up nicely with Pereira. 6/10
Bastian Schweinsteiger – Controlled the game from minute one. This man is pure class. 7/10 Man of the Match.
Ander Herrera – Looked lively. Kept the ball moving and linked nicely with Juan Mata. 5/10
Juan Mata – Fairly quiet. Drifted in side more often than not and switched the play well. 5/10
Wayne Rooney – Took his goal superbly. Didn’t do an awful lot putting that aside though. 6/10
Marouane Fellaini – Won plenty of headers and played the ball off well. 6/10
Andreas Pereira – Scored a wonderful free-kick. Kept the Ipswich defenders busy. A debut where he didn’t look out of place alongside the likes of Wayne Rooney etc. 7/10
Subs:
Anthony Martial – Came on, scored a cool finish. Four in four for the young man.
Phil Jones – Nice to see him back in action.
Memphis Depay – Not enough time to mark.
