Player Ratings: Pogba brilliant as Man United batter Bournemouth 4-1

David de Gea – Wasn’t really tested too much, but his distribution was excellent throughout. 6/10

Ashley Young – Played well defensively. I’d like to see him really hug the touchline when going forward. At times he was too narrow. 5/10

Victor Lindelof – Another solid outing. He seems to be improving week-in-week-out, so-much-so that he’s probably our best defender. 7/10

Eric Bailly – Was playing well until he needlessly went in two-footed and got himself sent off. Will now miss the next three games. 4/10

Luke Shaw – Pretty good once again, although his end product was lacking slightly. 6/10

Nemanja Matic – Even Matic is playing better under new management. He’s finding himself 20 yards further up the field and it’s great. 6/10

Ander Herrera – Lively, busy, energetic. Was absolutely everywhere throughout the game, easily his best display this season. 7/10

Paul Pogba – Phenomenal, just phenomenal. The passing, the vision, the execution, the ability, the willingness. This lad did it all for 90 minutes. He was unplayable. Tw goals one assist. 9/10

Jesse Lingard – Fairly quiet, but still had plenty of intent. 5/10

Anthony Martial – Bagged an assist. Looked to drive forward and get himself in on the act, but it just wasn’t coming off for him. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – Sublime. His assist for Pogba’s opener was world-class and he took his own goal excellently. 8/10

Subs:

Romelu Lukaku – Scored with what was practically his first touch.

Andreas Pereira – Nice to see him get some minutes.

Phil Jones – A late sub after Bailly’s antics.
